Song Review: Harry Styles Has Gone 80’s Music For Sign Of The Times

Color me surprised out of all the styles that I thought Harry Styles would embody, I did not think 80s anthem would be one of them. Sign of The Times is his debut single as a solo artist, and it is impressive. With an epic guitar and drum, he resonates with 80’s classics like “Nothing’s Going To Stop Us Now” or “Don’t Stop Believing”, where you just feel like if it is you and your lover versus the world, you two might win.

Harry Styles – Sign of the Times (Audio)

There is a slight apocalyptic undertone to Sign of The Times that helps build it’s grandiose nature. As Harry croons to his “lady-love” to stop worrying and just give in to the moment/him, he hasn’t steered too far away from the typical 1D message of: forget everybody else and just love me. Yet, his sound is vast, and, frankly, amazing for an adrenaline kick to the imagination. The song makes you want to hop on a motor-bike down Mad Max: Fury Road looking for water and love. Moreover, Harry gets a better chance to show his range and how he can scale the vocal register. Naturally, being alone, will give you that opportunity. Yet, hearing his, Niall’s, Louis’, and Zayn’s music, in comparison, you really understand something they always hinted to: these guys are different personally and musically from each other. Franky, I am loving their music. For More Information On Harry Stile Click Here
