Concert Review: KYLE Is SUPER DUPER FUN At Sony Hall

KYLE is, musically, the quintessential buddy, and if you do not see the “weight” of such a power then let me tell you. Whether it is to “girl talk” with Taylor or starting a prank war with the Beastie Boys, some of the biggest names in music have arisen because people feel like they could “hang out” with them. At Sony Hall, KYLE was a walking “good vibe,” and people wished he was their friend.

KYLE reached out his hand to one young woman, and a mass of hands arose eagerly to shake his as if it offered healing. The best part is that KYLE is so unsuspecting of how loved he is; I even think he was nervous! He jittered with tales of his first time “smacking cheeks,” and danced with dancers in pikachu outfits. He was so happy with how things were going, he even stopped to shake his dancers’ hands. I know that sounds minute, but not every artist cares about those backing them. Yet, you got the feeling that KYLE was “super-duper” appreciative of this moment and was nerding out in his space cadet outfit.

The show is set-up like you have entered KYLE space-craft, of which every song felt like a new, groovy planet for you to explore. “Nothing To Lose,” “Keep It Real,” “Superduperhero,” “ISpy,” and “Playinwitme” rocked Sony Hall so hard, stardust could have floated from the ceiling. He was shaking the room for its lightness, and feeding within everyone their natural desire to feel alive. Honestly, I had to give MAJOR KUDOS to the few people devout in instagramming themselves, the whole night, watching Kyle. This show was so amped in movement and energy that KYLE could have walked away a certified, ZUMBA instructor; making people jump, swerve, and wave at his command.

KYLE’s show is one of the funnest you will attend because he makes you realize how much you wish you had more fun. It was all smiles, and, from the beginning, his spaceship narrator, whom guided him through his set like a Spock companion, ordered all haters and negative energy to leave. Again, you would think no one would be such a thing at a concert, but, trust me, they can be! Yet, at KYLE’s show they couldn’t be; he was to amiably goofy, personally good, and bombastic as a rapper. For More Information On KYLE Click Here.
