Concert Review: Beeef Go Full Hers At Alphaville

I love bands that have a loyal following, especially when, like so many of us, they are in the ¨on the rise,¨ which can be your title for years. Yet, there is something so sweet and loving about the fans that show up for your every concert with faith that one day the world will be screaming ¨BEEEF!´ At least, at Alphaville, that is what Beeef´s crowd was serving.

Watching Beeef is like playing guitar by the sea over a gray, Seattle-like sky. There is something hazy and hued to their joy that does not make it cheesy or dancey, but does make it  vibrant enough that you want to move. Alphaville is a naturally intimate setting, and that helped the band thrive even more in their Hers- type energy. She wanted to a group of guys with Brooklyn beanies and tuned up instruments jam to love and the meaning of life, which seems like the foundation of modern.-indie bands; its not about how ¨the one leaves¨ as much as people do.

What I find fascinating about modern compared to eras like the 60s is that even heartbreak feels like a giant of emblem of life, and not some personal attack on your fantasy romance. Instead, bands like Beeef, provided lyrics that feel like a Walt Whitman poem: pretty with flowering on nature and what its like to feel like a small fish in a small pond. In essence, for most of us, is a mundane ride that waits on us to flourish, and there is nonchalant joy to Beeef´s style that does exactly that.  For More Info on Beeef Click Here.
