Artist Close-Up: Lizzie And The Makers Will Make Your Bluesy Soul!

Blues and Rock just got a heavy dose of female power through Lizzie Edwards. With a voice that exudes strength, this vocalist sings songs that cannot be anything but perseverant. From her tracks like Hopeless and Fight Song, Lizzie turns rock n’ roll into rock n’ resilience.
It is may sound weird to proclaim that a voice embodies strength. Yet, each note Lizze carries feels like it came from a pillar within her soul. There is a firmness to this songstress that turns lyrics into affirmations. Thus, whether Lizzie is singing to leaving behind a lover or starting a romance with a new one, she never loses her self-assertion. Frankly, as a woman and lover of music, I have to admire any lady-rocker that marks her presence in an often male-dominated world.
Her Bio Goes As Such: It was pretty impossible for Lizzie Edwards to avoid a career in music. Her grandfather was an opera singer, her grandmother was a classical harpsichordist, and her father was a sideman for various artists including Chuck Berry, and was in a band himself. Throw in a childhood soundtrack including everyone from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Otis Redding – not to mention – regular trips to the iconic Beacon Theatre, which was steps away from her New York City home, and it’s no wonder music has been in her veins practically right from the womb.

I could not sum up Lizze’s sound more than her own words about herself. From Skynyrd to Redding, you hear her influences as much as you hear her soul. Lizzie certainly has the potential to grasp massive audiences, especially when her tunes mix-in a little country drawl. Yet, again, it is Lizzie’s “rocker- Janis Joplin” vibe that makes her a phenomenal front-woman born to perform. Strong and carefree is what we all want to be, and Lizzie And The Makers embody that dream through their music.  Click here for more information on Lizzie And The Makers.
