Diandra Reviews My Top 12 Concerts of 2017 – Part 2
I COULD NOT do just one recap of my fave concerts of 2017. My heart would not allow it. So I tried again to make a Top 10 List, and HERE it is, except for its Top 12 . Even then I could not deny people! There was simply too many shows this year to love, and several artists promoting love, as well.
Their show is a pure, funk celebration. The multi-talented siblings basically have a riff-off throughout their singing of debut album, Breakfast. Trust me when I say, this is THE BEST breakfast you will ever have; filled with delicious covers of Sean Paul classics and a whole new appreciation for live acoustics.

.
A show for the “rock n’ roller” in all of us, I have never seen so much after-work frustration be released at a concert. It could be because lead singer Conor’s vocals pull emotions out of people like water from a well. His voice was made to rock out the stress of living, and feel alive through music.
3. Lukas Graham – Click Here For The Original Review
Another blessed voice, Lukas Graham uses his concerts as an opportunity to be vulnerable. He leaves his heart on the stage in both vocal notes and personal ones. If you love his music, his show will make you love him as a person.
4. LÉON – Click Here For The Original Review
I LOVE this performer. While her music is made for radio, her concerts are MADE for you! She is a way more powerful vocalist then her pop anthems might lead on!
5. Yelle
One of the funnest shows I have been to, there is not denying Yelle is a sparkling creative. She uses her imaginative nature to create a concert atmosphere that is inclusive, vibrant, and 100% eccentric. You HAVE to admire that.
6. Ingrid Michaelson – Click Here For The Original Review
I LOVE Ingrid Michaelson. I always knew that she is one of the most thoughtful lyricists of our time, of which I should have expected her show to be filled with wit and incredible snark. You do not write songs like her without being an observant, intelligent person. She is a show to swoon in music and laugh in quips.
7. George Ezra – Click Here For The Original Review
Another hilarious singer, whose voice surprises you with its rich weightiness. While most vocalists aim to sound light, Ezra makes notes feel as if they have been tied down by emotional anvils. The result is a show that is cathartic in laughs and Millennial truths; we want so much out of life, but struggle feeling that “much” within ourselves.
8. Lo Moon – Click Here For The Original Review
Lo Moon is basically an electro-reincarnation of Peter Gabriel, and I AM THANKFUL. Their music is like synth-hymns on how love makes you, its carrier, feel like a temple. The question is, “Will your lover make you feel sacred?”.
9. Youngr – Click Here For The Original Review
Youngr is a “tour de force”. I LOVE feeling the hunger of an artist. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he is determined. Watching this one-man orchestra, bop to his own, creative rhythms, and play with the crowd, as if his set is a musical playgroun,d is a must-see.
10. Big Moon – Click Here For The Original Review
Punk- pop is making a resurgence, particularly amongst Millennial-femme groups like, Big Moon, whom are eager to bring forth the ferocity and sweetness of being a woman. While us, ladies, are defined by our caring nature, now, more than ever, we are showing that our ability to unconditionally love does not mean we are to be crossed.
11. Franz Ferdinand – Click Here For The Original Review
Their Warsaw show was PACKED with youths eager to absorb the adrenaline of lead singer Alex Kapranos. I have never seen a guitar do so many air splits while holding a note. To see them live is like watching a group do gymnastics with their instruments.
12. Jessie J – Click Here For The Original Review
Walking out of her LPR show, I sincerely thought, “Jessie J is my best friend!”. She is so interpersonal with her fans, you would think she was coming from brunch with them. She knows their names, shares her honest perspectives and tales from the music business, and turns all her pop-radio hits into gospel anthems. MY GAWD this woman can sing.
